Extremely Compact, Space Saving, Easy to Carry
The instruments in the bass range are extremely compact, space saving and easy to carry. That is the quiet surprise of this model: a genuine C3 foundation instrument on a 674 mm box that still rides a classroom trolley shelf. For professional music lessons, these instruments fulfill every need — high quality bars combined with complex resonance chambers in the alto and bass ranges always produce ample volume and rich, strong sound.
Two Bar Widths on One Instrument
Look along the 051307’s bar row and you will see something the soprano and alto models do not have: two bar profiles working together. The six deepest bars are 36 × 10 mm; the upper ten are 32 × 8 mm:
- Mass where the low notes live: the deepest six pitches get the thicker 36 × 10 mm profile, putting physical mass exactly where long wavelengths need it
- Consistent response above: from the seventh bar up, the 32 × 8 mm profile keeps articulation light and even across the middle of the range
- One voicing, no hot spots: matched fundamental tuning across both profiles means the C3–A4 scale speaks with one character instead of two
- Same classroom system: the mixed bars still carry carved note names and staff positions, and the add-on F-sharp and B-flat bars still travel in the cloth bag

The Bass Role: Root Notes That Hold the Room
Every Orff arrangement stands or falls on its foundation, and the 051307 supplies it without demanding space in return:
- Bordun and root-note work: open fifths and octaves on the deepest bars anchor student ensembles the way a double bass anchors an orchestra
- Playable by the youngest hands: big targets, slow decay and forgiving articulation make the bass bars a confident first assignment
- Room-filling fundamentals: complex resonance chambers give the C3–A4 range projection that survives a full classroom of singers
- Compact footprint: 356 mm of height instead of the floor-standing frames conventional bass bars need — storage rooms stay walkable

Product Positioning
The 051307 Bass completes the hardwood xylophone trio: the 051305 Soprano for the top register, the 051306 Alto for the melody middle, and this bass for the foundation — all three on one shared box platform, tuning system and certification set. Its signature trait is the one the catalog names directly: extremely compact, space saving and easy to carry, at a range where bass instruments are usually anything but.
It shares the production line, tuning bench and certification process with our own consumer brand Musicube — the same instrument that is already selling on the US retail market under the Musicube name.
Quality & Manufacturing
The resonator box is built from solid and 12 mm laminated birch with FSC® certified timber from well managed forests, finished in water-based paint — an environmentally safe, all-natural varnish. Hardwood bars receive the exclusive paint process for the clear and powerful sound and sit on flexible pins over multiple resonance chambers. Batch-level EN 71, ASTM F963 and GB 6675 reports are available for every shipment, issued under your brand name.

OEM / ODM: Make It Yours
Once the instrument is proven, the next question is how it starts carrying your brand:
- Logo: print on the birch resonator box, from low trial quantities.
- Songbook: your brand and your own song selection on the colored-keys songbook.
- Mallet colors: the three-level hardness system can ship in your Pantone-matched colors at volume — the bass ships standard with baby blue heads.
- Packaging: the brown box takes a full-color sleeve, or we quote a full-color box from volume.
- FSC® claims: chain-of-custody documentation supports your sustainability labeling under your brand.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Why does the bass xylophone use two different bar widths?
A: Physics and playability. The six deepest pitches need the mass of the 36 × 10 mm profile to develop long low wavelengths; the upper ten use the lighter 32 × 8 mm profile for even, quick articulation. Fundamental tuning across both profiles keeps the C3–A4 scale speaking with one voice.
Q: How can a C3 instrument be “extremely compact”?
A: Conventional bass bars sit on floor frames or dedicated stands. The 051307 puts its whole C3–A4 range on one 674 × 267 × 356 mm resonator box with carrying handles — a trolley shelf instead of a floor plan.
Q: Can we buy the soprano, alto and bass xylophones as a set?
A: Yes — the 051305, 051306 and 051307 share construction, the three-key tuning system and certifications by design. Request a quote with all three SKUs and we will price the classroom set as one line with mixed carton loading.
Q: What is the MOQ for OEM orders?
A: MOQ and carton configuration depend on your customization level and destination market — they are confirmed on your quotation rather than a fixed published number. Send your quantity and target market for a costed proposal within 24 hours.
