Distributors
Royalsound is a factory-direct manufacturer of children’s musical instruments, running OEM, ODM and private-label programmes for brands, retailers, distributors and schools since 2003. This page is written for the partners who take our instruments into their local markets by buying, holding stock and reselling — regional distributors. If you run distribution rather than just introductions, here is what a distribution partnership looks like.

Distribution: Buy, Stock and Resell
As a distributor you purchase at factory pricing, hold inventory in your market, and resell under your own brand or ours. You own the inventory and the margin on every unit; we supply locked specifications, private-label packaging, mixed-model containers and batch certification in your name. Best when you already have warehouse space, logistics and a sales network — exactly the model this page is built around.
We Own a Brand, Too — Musicube
Partners often ask the same question first: “Are you only a contract factory, or do you run a brand of your own?” The answer is both. Beside the OEM, ODM and private-label programmes we build for other companies, Royalsound develops and sells its own children’s musical instrument brand, Musicube. That matters for a distributor in particular:
A brand you can stock with confidence
Musicube is our own label, established in the children’s musical instrument market with a steady reputation among retailers and educators. When you stock Royalsound-built instruments, you are sourcing from the same manufacturer that stands behind a name already known in the category — the same tooling, QC and product lines that already serve the market.
What We Manufacture — The Categories
Royalsound develops and builds a full range of children’s musical instruments across these categories — all engineered and tuned in-house, so a distributor can source a complete range from one supplier:
Xylophone & Glockenspiel
Wooden and metal-bar instruments in diatonic and chromatic layouts, for classroom and retail.
Percussion & Rhythm Set
Hand drums, tambourines, bongos, shakers and framed sets — single instruments and classroom kits.
Recorder
Soprano and tenor recorder models in ABS and wood, student and concert grades.
Melodica
Piano-style free-reed instruments in several keys for education and performance.
Kid’s Piano
Child-sized keyboard instruments built for small hands and classroom use.
Ukulele
Soprano, concert and tenor sizes, in wood and composite bodies.
Harmonica
Diatonic harmonicas for beginners and education programmes.
Steel Tongue Drum
Circular tongue drums tuned to scale sets for meditation and music therapy.
Your Category, Too
Have a model or a gap in mind? Our ODM office engineers new SKUs from a concept or a reference sample.
What We Can Do For You
Beyond the instruments themselves, here is what we actually deliver for a distribution partner:
OEM Manufacturing
Build to your specification, sample or our existing platform — under your brand, with your certification file.
ODM Development
Start from a concept, a market gap or a reference sample; our design office engineers and tunes the product.
Private Label & Branding
Imprint, laser engraving or in-mold branding on the instrument, accessories and packaging.
Custom Tuning & Pitch
Key count, pitch range and scale tuned to your curriculum or retail concept — checked note by note.
Custom Colour & Material
Pantone-matched finishes and FSC-certified wood options to match your existing range.
Packaging & Kit Assembly
Retail box, sleeve, gift box or storage case, plus instruments kitted to your SKU combinations.
Certification in Your Name
Where your market requires it, EN 71, ASTM F963, CPSIA and REACH batch reports issued under your brand.
FBA & Export Support
FNSKU barcodes and FBA-compliant carton labelling, plus paperwork for FOB, CIF, EXW and DDP.
Documents & Languages
Manuals, songbooks, inserts and warning text printed in the languages your market requires.
What Distributors Receive
Full Product Range
Xylophone and glockenspiel, percussion and rhythm set, recorder, melodica, kid piano, ukulele, harmonica and steel tongue drum — all from one manufacturer.
Locked Specifications
The specification you approve is the specification we keep on file, so re-orders arrive identical to the first shipment.
Private Label
Printed logos on instrument bodies, frames and packaging, plus your barcode and warning panels — under your brand, not ours.
Mixed Containers
Several categories combine into one shipment, which keeps a range launch within a single freight budget.
Factory-Direct Pricing
No trading company between your purchase order and the production line — pricing reflects the factory, not a layer of margin.
Certification in Your Name
Where your market requires it, EN 71, ASTM F963, CPSIA and REACH batch test reports are issued under your brand, not ours.
Catalogue & Assets
Product photography, spec sheets and copy in the languages your market needs, ready to drop into your own listings.
Fast Sampling
Samples with your logo in 7-15 days on standard platforms, so a market test does not wait on tooling.
Market Support
FBA-compliant carton labelling and FNSKU barcodes for Amazon sellers, plus export paperwork for FOB, CIF, EXW and DDP.

How a Distribution Partnership Starts
Inquiry
Send your market, target segment, a few model references and expected volume. You get feasibility, material options and a first cost estimate within 24 hours.
Terms & Territory
Pricing tier, MOQ, exclusivity and territory are agreed in writing before anything is built. No hidden costs, no ambiguous handshake.
Sampling
Samples in 7-15 days on standard platforms, including your logo. We iterate on finish and packaging until it matches your brief — sample cost is credited against the bulk order.
First Order
25–45 days after deposit. Batch-level QC with a pitch check on every tuned instrument, plus third-party testing where your market requires it.
Re-orders & Growth
Your specification, packaging dielines, test reports and colour standards stay on file, so the second order skips sampling and goes straight to production — and a good first year turns into a multi-category range.
Territory & Exclusivity
Exclusivity and territory are written into the agreement per market and product segment — we do not double-appoint where a partner is actively performing. We will tell you honestly what is realistic for your region rather than promise a map we cannot keep, and the terms are reviewed as the partnership grows.
Minimum Order Quantities
The entry point for a distributor is deliberately low enough to trial a few models at once:
From 100 pieces per item
A distributor buys and holds stock, so the entry order is low enough to trial a few models at once — mixed-model containers are normal, and a first order can cover four or five SKUs instead of one.

Inside the Factory
There is no trading company between your purchase order and the production line. Every instrument is cut, tuned, painted, assembled and packed on our own lines, which is what makes custom work — and honest lead times — possible.

Certification & Compliance
Children’s instruments are a regulated category, so the paperwork comes before the price. Factory side: a BSCI-audited workforce and FSC chain-of-custody timber. Product side: EN 71-1/-2/-3 for the EU, ASTM F963 and CPSIA for the US, GB 6675 for China, and REACH Annex XVII for restricted substances. Where applicable, batch reports are issued under your brand — the compliance file is yours to hand to your own customers.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What pricing and margins do distributors get?
A: Pricing is FOB-factory and tiered by volume, with mixed-model containers allowed so a first order can cover several models. We discuss the specific tier once we know your market, segment and expected annual volume — honestly, not a published list.
Q: Can I get exclusivity in my country?
A: Exclusivity and territory are written into the agreement per market and segment, and we do not double-appoint an active partner. What is realistic depends on your region and the categories you want — we will tell you plainly.
Q: Whose name appears on the test reports and certificates?
A: Yours. EN 71, ASTM F963, CPSIA and REACH batch reports are issued under your brand where your market requires them, so your listing and your own customers stand on your own documents.
Q: Do you support Amazon and FBA sellers?
A: Yes — we produce FBA-compliant carton labelling and FNSKU barcodes, and handle the commercial invoice, packing list and conformity certificates for FOB, CIF, EXW and DDP shipments.
Q: How fast can the second order ship?
A: Faster than the first, because your specification, packaging dielines, test reports and colour standards stay on file. Re-orders normally skip sampling entirely and go straight to production.
Q: How low can the first distributor order be?
A: From 100 pieces per item, with mixed-model containers normal — a first order can cover four or five SKUs at once. The exact carton count and container load are confirmed in your quote.
