Musical Instrument Brands & Distributors
RoyalSound manufactures for musical instrument brands, importers, regional distributors and wholesalers — supplying children’s musical instruments and music education products either against your own specification or sourced from our existing range.
This page is written for buyers who carry a product line rather than a single order: people who need repeatable specifications, packaging that fits their own brand, and a supplier they can re-order from without re-specifying every shipment.
Buying a Product Line Rather Than a Single Order
A range across categories
Xylophones and glockenspiels, percussion and rhythm sets, recorders, melodicas, kids pianos, ukuleles, harmonicas and steel tongue drums, all from one manufacturer.
Locked specifications
The specification you approve is the specification we keep on file, so re-orders arrive identical to the first shipment.
Mixed containers
Several categories can be combined into one shipment, which keeps a range launch within a single freight budget.
Your brand on the product
Printing, labelling and packaging artwork can carry your brand rather than ours, across the range.
OEM Manufacturing
OEM is the route for buyers who already hold a product design, a specification, a reference sample or a purchasing standard. We review the specification, confirm what is manufacturable as written and what needs adjustment, produce samples for evaluation, and then manufacture to the approved specification.

ODM Product Development
ODM is the route for buyers who want to develop or extend a range rather than manufacture an existing design. A project can start from a product concept, a reference sample, an initial specification or a market requirement. Our team reviews the project scope and discusses suitable product configuration and customisation options.
Development feasibility depends on the product concept, technical requirements, tooling needs and expected order volume. See ODM Design & Development
Branding and Packaging
| Product branding | Printed logos on instrument bodies, frames and resonator boxes where the material and volume allow |
| Retail packaging | Colour boxes, sleeves, hang tags and instruction sheets carrying your brand and your market’s languages |
| Set and kit assembly | Instruments assembled into your SKU combinations, counted and labelled to your SKU codes |
| Retail-ready prep | Barcodes applied to the retail unit, shelf-ready display packs and carton markings per destination |
| Documentation | Safety documentation and batch test reports issued in your name where required |
See Retail-Ready Packaging & Kitting
Bulk Orders and Re-Order Support
| Buyer | Starting quantity | Typical documents |
|---|---|---|
| Brand owner | From 200 pcs per SKU, trial runs below that by arrangement | Design-IP agreement, certificate of conformity |
| Distributor / retail chain | Mixed container from 800 pcs | Contract lead times, barcode sheet, batch QC report |
Starting quantities are a basis for discussion. The agreed specification, packaging and pricing are confirmed on the quotation and kept on file for re-orders.
Confirming Specifications Before Production
- Brief — your range, target market, quantities and the level of customisation you need
- Specification review — we return a written specification: materials, dimensions, finish, packaging and packing data
- Sample — physical samples ship for your approval before any production run
- Confirmation — the approved sample and specification are recorded as the production standard
- Production and re-order — manufacture to the recorded standard; subsequent orders reference the same file
How a Cooperation Starts
Send your buyer type, the categories you carry, your target market and an indicative quantity. We reply with the programme that fits, the specification we would propose and the documentation that travels with the goods. Buyers who already have artwork, specifications or reference samples can send those with the first enquiry and shorten the process.
